Cal. 40-70 Sharps Bottle Neck. S#. 158568. Bbl. 30" octagon to round with Hartford address. right bbl. flat is stamped "MID RANGE 50". Rocky Mtn. front with folding leaf rear sight, top tang has plug screws in hole for Vernier sight attachment. Checkered single trigger. Blue finished bbl. with case colored action. Schnabel tipped forend and straight grip stock of checkered walnut with checkered steel buttplate. Weight 8 lbs. 1.6 oz. CONDITION: over 80% lightly faded bbl blue showing spots of pitting on the round section. The action has largely faded to gray showing a small amount of lightly visible case colors. Original wood finish shows scratches & marks with light checkering wear. Sound action. Bright bore retains strong rifling. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27769/DS).
